وضعیت و جمعیت در ایران
این تنها فرم محتمل برای حضور در ایران است. فرمهای دیگر در جنوب اروپا و آفریقا حضور دارند.
به طور محلی مقیم معمول از جنوب زاگرس و خوزستان به سمت شرق در امتداد خلیج فارس تا هرمزگان و جنوب بلوچستان دیده میشود.
Taxonomic notes
The original description was in 1870; the incorrect Shelley (1855) reference conflates the authority of Cypselus pallidus Shelley, 1870, with Cypselus murinus Brehm, 1855. The latter has been treated in the past as a senior synonym for pallidus, but now is thought by most authorities to have been too poorly described by Brehm to be nomenclaturally valid.

Breeding from Mauritania through Egypt and the Middle East to Pakistan;

Status in Iran
The only form likely to occur in Iran. Other forms occur in southern Europe and Africa.
Locally common resident from southern Zagros and Khuzestan east along Persian Gulf coast to Hormozgan and southern Baluchestan.
Museum specimens
There are several specimens in AMNH, FMNH and NHMTashkent.
