تغییر جنس دو گونه از دارکوبهای ایران
Change to genus of two species of Iranian woodpeckers
در مورد نام جنس دو گونه از دارکوبهای ایران گاهی رده بندی آنها توسط دانشمندان مورد بحث قرار می گیرد.
بر اساس آخرین تغییرات انجام شده، نام جنس دارکوب سرسرخ از Dendrocopos به Dendrocoptes تغییر کرده است (Fuchs & Pons 2015). این تغییر مورد تایید چندین چک لیست جهانی پرندگان جهان از قبیل Gill & Donsker (2019)، Clements et al. 2018، John Boyd, TiF (2017) قرار گرفته است.
همچنین نام جنس دارکوب کوچک از Dendrocopos به Dryobates تغییر یافته است (Fuchs & Pons 2015). این تغییرها مورد تایید چندین چک لیست جهانی پرندگان جهان از قبیل Gill & Donsker (2019)، Clements et al. 2018، del Hoyo et al. (2014-2016)، John Boyd, TiF (2017) و HBW and BirdLife International (2018) قرار گرفته است. لازم به یادآوری است که اکنون جنس Drybates گونه های جنس قبلی Picoides را نیز دربر می گیرد (Fuchs & Pons 2015).
